Latest Tecno DroiPad 7D: Unboxing and Review

New Tecno DroiPad 7D is a budget tablet aimed for those who want a big screen without spending much. Compared with the DroiPad 7c, it offers some improvements in terms of technical specifications.

For those who feel the PhonePad 3 is too small and the DroiPad 8D is rather too big, the one sitting in-between has gotten an upgrade and that’s the new Tecno DroiPad 7D. The newly released tablet comes at a size that’s big enough to let you see your favorite movies clearly.
The New Tecno DroiPad 7D already and even though it doesn’t have that wow factor, it still leaves a good first impression for a budget tablet in its price range. Before going for the unboxing, here’s a quick look at the Droidpad 7D
Technical specifications
Display: 7-inch IPS LCD (600×1240 px)
Camera: 2MP front camera with flash, 5MP back camera with flash
Operating System: Android 7.0 Nougat
Storage:  16 GB ROM (expandable storage up to 256GB)
RAM: 1GB RAM
Battery Capacity: 3,000 mAh
SIM: Dual SIM
The Droidpad 7D front camera doesn’t hold much, it looks generic and there’s no branding seen. At the top of the screen is the 2MP aided by a single LED flash for low-light selfies.
The 7-inch screen has a resolution of 1240×600 px, an improvement over its predecessor’s 1024×600 px resolution. The display is definitely sharper and offers more clarity. Even though it’s not as crisp as the display you would see on a high-end tablet.
Topmost of the phone is located the earphone jack and USB cable. On the right side are the volume rocker and power button.
The navigations keys are placed on-screen specifically carved out.
The back of the phone is a contrast to the rather plain front. There’s a beautiful Kevlar pattern on the (non-removable) cover(back).
You can pop-off this top part of the back cover to reveal the two SIM slots and microSD slot.
At the top-left corner is the 5MP camera with an LED flash just beside it.
This is in no way a full review of this device. That should be published when we’ve fully taken it for a spin. The device should be available soon on Jumia at a rough cost of #35,000
